Our Wedding
We're getting married at the Gateway Hotel (http://www.gatewayames.com or 1-800-367-2637) in the Garden Room (hotel room map here). We have reserved some rooms for our guests at the Gateway. Please mention the Daddow-Haubrich wedding. The hotel is on the south edge of Ames in an area with several other hotels. We think you'll like the accommodations at the Gateway, but if you prefer something else the Holiday Inn is just a short walk and there is a Best Western across the street.
One of our challenges was planning a wedding in Ames during college football season. Some of you may have noticed that our wedding is the same day as the annual Iowa State vs. Iowa game, however that game is in Iowa City this year so Ames should be relatively open.
RSVP
Okay, so it isn't totally clear on the invitations whether children and guests are invited. Of course they are! Sorry for any confusion.
We'd like to encourage you to return your RSVP cards by August 25th whether you plan to attend or not (we hope you can!). You can also use the form below to respond.
Reception
We'd love to have you join us for a reception following the wedding. The reception will also be held in the Garden Room. Following the wedding we'll ask our guests to step across the hall into the Meadow Room for a cocktail while we take a few quick photos and the hotel staff set up the Garden Room for dinner. At approximately 6:00pm, we'll invite you to return to the Garden Room for a fun and tasty meal, followed by toasts, some yummy cake, and dancing.
Travel
The Gateway Hotel is conveniently located at 2100 Green Hills Drive in Ames, Iowa. It is just off of Exit 146 (University Blvd) from Hwy 30. (Hotel Map)
Those of you traveling from out-of-town will find some enjoyable things to do in Ames. As a University town, Ames has an abundance of cultural attractions and great places to eat. One great attraction is Reiman Gardens, just down University Blvd from the hotel site (http://www.reimangardens.iastate.edu/).
